KingdomCon
What : KingdomCon 2014
When: April 24th through April 27th
Where: San Diego, CA
Who: Counter Clockwork Games and Perspective Games
Honestly, this was my first time being behind a booth at a game convention. And I had a great time!
Perspective Games shared the table with Robert Huss from Counter Clockwork Games.
Robert did a great job of getting the table setup and making it attractive. He brought a monitor and we were able to show the Game Crafters site live to booth visitors.
Like Kevin Warner and his team found at OrcCon that we sold games after people played the demos and got excited about the game. We ran a lot of demos. We ran scheduled demos through the con posted on KingdomCon’s website for Virgins, as well as quick game demos right at the booth for Alien Labyrinth.
We ran a lot of demos. A lot of demos.
As much fun as it is talking about your game, it can get tiring. That said I found I had the very best kind of problem at a convention - I had to go in search of change for game sales. Thankfully the convention registration desk was able to help.
Speaking of help, I want to thank Lindsey Bell and Trevin Matlock for helping out at the booth as well. It was Lindsey’s very first game convention. She had a good time at the convention and said that working the booth gave her the opportunity to meet new people and see new games.
